The City of Stephen (pop. 592) is seeking a full-time public works employee.  This position reports to and follows instructions from the Superintendent.  They will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the electric, gas, water, sewer, streets, parks, cemetery, swimming pool operations, and other city duties as required.  Candidates should demonstrate leadership skills as well as strong interpersonal and public relations skills.  Driver’s license and the ability to obtain a working knowledge of all utilities required.  Previous experience in public works desired.  Hourly pay rate beginning at $24.00. This position includes rotating on-call weekends.
