The Stephen Economic Development Authority was formed on May 22nd, 1990, to carry out economic development, industrial development, and redevelopment in the City of Stephen. The Board of Commissioners is comprised of individuals that represent different sectors of the community being civic and commerce, education, finance, and industry/business. These community leaders are dedicated to the economic longevity and sustainability of the City of Stephen.

Living at Home Network LAH/BPN
The Living At Home/Block Nurse Program, now called Living At Home Network, is a community program that draws on the professional and volunteer services of local residents to provide information, social and support services, nursing and other services for the elderly to enable them to remain in their homes. The program is sponsored by state and local funds.
The local office is located in the Community Center. Volunteers or those seeking care or information, may stop there or call 218-478-3092. The Office is open each weekday until noon, or messages may be left for the staff on the answering machine.
